Who Rocked the Emmys Red Carpet 2015

The 2015/2016 awards season kicked off last night with the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards and of course, I’m sharing my picks for best dressed on the Emmys Red Carpet. Overall, it was a fairly sedate red carpet with no really big wow moments of glory or disaster. Save a few, looking at you Heidi.

There was a lot of white, some metallics and many pops of vibrant color. I think pink won the evening with no fewer than five actresses choosing it. Yellow was the next most popular but so many things went wrong in the yellow category that I’ll have to leave that one alone. Honorable mention in the fields of yellow does go to VEEP’s Sufe Bradshaw who donned a lovely column gown in a muted mustard.

My favorites include:
Kerry Washington in Prada: playful and sassy.
Regina King in Krikor Jabotian: the open back was amazing.
Viola Davis in Carmen Marc Valvo: delicate and daring contrast.
Elisabeth Moss in Oscar de la Renta: sweet and simple.
Samira Wiley in a beautiful fuchsia one-shoulder gown.

Who were your favorites on the 2015 Emmys Red Carpet? Did I miss anyone who wowed you? Let me know! And for more red carpet finery, check out my all new Red Carpet Roundup that takes a look at all the best dresses (and tuxes) from the Emmys, Globes, Oscars and SAG Awards!

  1. Hi Patranila! Great post! I think I love Sofia Vergara but everyone looked great. None of the ladies listed here went wrong in my opinion.

    1. Patranila says:

      Sofia always looks great!

  2. Loved Kerry Washington’s dress—so beautiful like her! I agree with your best dressed list and I would add Taraji P. Henson’s to the list. Those chain link straps were the business!

    1. Patranila says:

Yes, Taraji was great too! I liked the peekaboo cut out in front.
