Mod Notebooks: Analog Meets Digital

It’s no secret, I love my gadgets. But I also love putting pen to paper, especially when I’m fleshing out ideas or planning a project. The trouble is, I can’t always carry my journals, notebooks and random scraps of paper around with me so I end up having notes and things in both the digital and analog worlds. Not so fancy when I’m trying to stay creative and organized. I often end up doing the same work twice because I can’t remember in which medium I was working. Enter Mod Notebooks!

Taking a cue from the ubiquitous Moleskin, favored by note-takers across the globe, Mod Notebooks allow you to write, sketch or plan until your heart is content in a well-designed journal. The twist is, when you’ve exhausted a notebook, you pop it in the mail to Mod, have it digitized and sent back to you. The digital version can then be synced to the cloud (Dropbox, Evernote or OneNote) and is available on the Mod app so you have access to your work anywhere. Easy peasy!
Mod Notebook - Analog Meets Digital
Mod Notebooks come in three colors and three types: plain, ruled and dot-grid. They are the same size as the iPad Mini and open flat from any page. This is a huge deal for me because I absolutely need to work on a flat surface. There are few things more annoying than struggling with a bound journal that won’t stay open on its own. Kills the creative flow. That feature alone is worth the $25 that also includes the return shipping. Genius. My first order will soon be placed because I can’t wait to get my hands on one!

What do you think? Will you get in line for one of these? Sound off in the comments!
