Beautify For Breast Cancer Awareness

Sharing is caring!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and everyone is thinking pink! Even the NFL gets in the game with think pink gear for players and fans. I have to admit, I love seeing those pink cleats on the field!

There are lots of brands that make charitable contributions and raise awareness with limited edition BCA products and this year I wanted to focus on companies that donate more than a nominal amount of the proceeds from the sale of those products to various breast cancer research and treatment organizations. Here’s my list!

Stella and Dot has a Breast Cancer Awareness Boutique featuring the items above. During the month of October, for each item purchased from the boutique, Stella and Dot will donate 100% of the net proceeds to the Noreen Fraser Foundation which is focused on curing all women’s cancers. All items are available at the Stella and Dot Shop for a Cause Boutique.

Morgan Taylor is responsible for creating the nail looks of some of my favorite runway shows, Zac Posen and Catherine Malandrino, and they’re donating 5% of each purchase of this gorgeous polish trio to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Morgan Taylor is guaranteeing a minimum donation of $1,000,000. Available at beauty stores and salons nationwide.

The newly redesigned Sonia Kashuk Proudly Pink brush set is available year round with 15 percent of the purchase benefitting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Available at Target.

RAMY Beauty Therapy is donating 100% of proceeds from the sale of this luscious lip duo to Young Survival Coalition. Ramy Gafni, cancer survivor and founder says, “It’s important for brands to push for what they believe in. For me, it’s finding a cure for cancer.” The Bella Ariella lipstick and Lucky in Love lip gloss are available at ramy.com and Duane Reade stores nationwide.

The Girls Are Alright collection from Paul Mitchell features limited edition products showcasing powerful statements to help spread the word about early detection. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, when breast cancer is detected early, at the localized stage, the five-year survival rate is 98 percent.

The Nest PASSION Scented Candle was created in honor of Breast Cancer Research Foundation founder, Evelyn H. Lauder. Ten percent of the purchase price will be donated to BCRF.

Inspired by the stepmother of Too Faced’s Co-founders, Too Faced Love Debbi Lip Gloss, is infused with the smell of sweet strawberry and sunflower seed oil. Twenty percent of sales goes to help raise funds for mammogram screening services for women in need.
The perennial favorite Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer retails for $36 and $5 will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Fitbit Flex Wireless Activity + Sleep Band supports Breast Cancer Awareness with $10 of each sale donated to the American Cancer Society.

Shop well folks and please remember to do your monthly self exams and schedule your yearly mammogram. Early detection saves lives!

  1. I love when companies give to such a worthy cause. I would love to try the Nest Passion Scented Candle. I checked the site online and noticed that it is also sold in Nordstrom. Next time I'm in the mall, I'll definitely check it out.
