After her not-so-successful designer collaboration with Halston Heritage, Sarah Jessica Parker throws her hat into the shoe ring in an inspired pairing with George Malkemus, president of the iconic shoemaker Manolo Blahnik!
We all remember Carrie Bradshaw’s epic find in the Vogue closet on Sex And The City – the Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes. Shoes that were so fabulous and rare that Carrie was determined to wear them whether they fit or not.
That famous shoe will be much less of an ‘urban shoe myth’ with the introduction of Parker’s first shoe from her new eponymous line, SJP. Parker’s version is nearly identical to the coveted classic pair; she updates the Mary Jane with a diagonal strap for a more modern twist. The relatively affordable SJP label (which includes shoes, handbags and coats) will be available in February exclusively at Nordstrom and the shoes will retail for between $195 and $485.
