September Harvest

This month has been crazy busy. With NY Fashion Week, the unofficial holiday known as First Day of School and my determination to enjoy the last few days of summer, I feel as though I’ve had no time to just be. It’s fun but it’s exhausting.

To continue with the theme of the month, as you read this, I’m on my way to the Latinos in Tech Innovation and Social Media National Conference (LATISM13) where I’ll be attending some great seminars and events as well as serving as a volunteer.

It’s my first social media conference and I’m really excited! How I’ve not been to an SM conference yet, I don’t fully understand but rest assured, I plan to soak up as much info as humanly (and electronically) possible. LATISM13 runs for three days, September 19-21 in NYC with an opening party Thursday night and red carpet gala tonight and focuses on the intersection of technology, healthcare and education in the Latino community. I’ll Instagram as much as possible so you can get a glimpse, but if you’d like to attend, I think there’s still time to take advantage. Go here for more information on the conference.

After a full day of workshops on Saturday, I’ll rush home to host my REALvolution Lash Bash sponsored by Benefit Cosmetics and Ipsy. I’ve been anticipating this party for weeks! If only I had also been preparing for it I wouldn’t feel so completely stressed right now. But alas, that’s not my style. It seems I like to have everything happening at once! There will be lots of instagramming and tweeting at the Lash Bash so don’t forget to follow along for all the lash goodness.

But Sunday, ahhh Sunday. My favorite day of the week and this week, just in time for the Autumnal Equinox, my friend Shelley Nicole is hosting a Wellness Day in Brooklyn and I plan to be front and center for a little massage and perhaps some reflexology. After a stressful September, this will be a great way to usher in the new season–refreshed and renewed. If you’re in New York, get it on it. It’s good stuff!
