Obsession Loading: U Beauty The SUPER Intensive Face Oil
If there is any doubt about what my favorite skincare brand is, let me clear it up. U Beauty has lived near the tippity top of my list for some time and with the launch of The SUPER Intensive Face Oil, I dare say they have clinched the top spot! Read on for my review after using it for about a month. Spoiler Alert: it’s a must-have, 10 out of 10, highly recommend skincare product!
THE SUPER Intensive Face Oil Product Claims
My hardcore skincare girlies will know that face oils have been having a moment and rightfully so. The right oil can deliver amazing results in your skincare routine. When paired with a serum that meets your specific skincare needs, oils can be both the foundation and the cherry on top.
Now, on to The SUPER and what it can do for you! Simply put, the formula is designed to treat and prevent dry, dehydrated skin by providing hydration and preventing moisture loss. It’s an oil-hydrator hybrid made to mimic the skin’s natural composition. The oil resupplies the skin’s lipid layer and uses hyaluronic acid to prevent moisture loss. AND it tackles the signs of aging and stress by attacking the free radicals that lead to dry, dull, wrinkled skin. That’s a lot for a little oil!

Key Ingredients
The SUPER Intensive Face Oil contains natural astaxanthin, a powerful anti-oxidant, avocado oil, hyaluronic acid to attract and seal in moisture, vegan squalane to hydrate and soften, peptides, and stabilized Vitamins C + E for brightening and protection from free radicals.
By the way, the bright orange color of the oil is courtesy of the key ingredient astaxanthin. Natural astaxanthin is an anti-oxidant with strong anti-aging properties and is a vivid shade of red or pink.
How To Use The Intensive Face Oil
This oil is designed to supplement, not replace, your daily moisturizer. Apply the oil as a ‘top coat’ after your serum and moisturizer. It can be used daily, both in your daytime and nighttime skincare routines. Use the dropper to apply 2-3 drops of oil and gently massage into your face and neck. A little bit goes a long way so you won’t need more than a few drops for each application. I typically use 3 drops.
If you squeeze out too much, you can safely apply any excess to your lips, decollete, and hands too!
My Experience
The SUPER Intensive Face Oil has folded quite nicely into my regular skincare regimen. On first use, I was shocked at how good my skin looked and felt. It gave my skin an instant supple feeling that made me want to constantly touch my face. I shouldn’t have been surprised because I’m familiar with U Beauty and their fast-acting skincare products, but this one was truly amazing.
It’s lightweight, fast absorbing, and though you can feel it on your skin, it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. It has a great presence! You know you have something on your face but it’s not overwhelming at all.
I’ve been using the oil for about a month and I’m totally hooked. With just a few drops on a (mostly) daily basis, my skin is incredibly soft and supple. To be fair, my skin was in pretty good shape to begin with, however, I do tend to get a little lax with my routines during the winter months. Which, arguably, is the worst time to fall down on the job!
When I haven’t kept up with my skincare routine, I can quickly experience overall dryness and dry patches which can lead to uneven skin tone. *Face palm! However, this year, this bright orange beauty came to my rescue. After a thorough exfoliation and peel, using the oil for a few days cleared up my dry patches and left my skin feeling healthy and plump.
My true test for any moisturizer is how it performs over night and what my skin looks and feels like in the morning. Especially in winter. The SUPER Intensive Face Oil passed with flying colors! My wake-up skin always feels nourished and supple. That’s all I ask of any truly effective moisturizer.
How I Use It
For daytime, after cleansing and toning, I apply Pixi’s Milky Moisture Mist, the U Beauty Resurfacing Compound, Murad’s Essential C Moisturizer with SPF, and then The Super Intensive Face Oil.
When I first started, I was using the face oil before my moisturizer which was not a great idea because it caused pilling. Making that minor adjustment cleared up the issue though. And pro tip, make sure you give each layer of your skincare time to absorb into your skin. This also helps avoid pilling.
In the evening, I do my usual cleanse, exfoliate with Dermalogica Microfoliant, add the ubiquitous Moisture Mist, U Beauty The Concentrate Eye Cream, U Beauty The SUPER Hydrator, and then The SUPER Intensive Face Oil.

In Summary
As I said in the intro, this face oil is a total hero! 10 out of 10 would highly recommend. Mainly because it works quickly and unlike other oils I’ve used, it has great presence. It makes itself known but is not overwhelming. My face feels nourished and supple without feeling like I’m coated with oil. The key ingredients are excellent for protecting the skin’s barrier, protecting against free radicals, and fighting the signs of aging. Finally, and most importantly, it passes my overnight moisturizer test. My wake-up skin looks and feels amazing after just a few uses.
