I’m always looking for ways to keep my wardrobe current. My challenge is that when I find something I like, I tend to keep purchasing and wearing the same types of pieces. I recently inventoried my closet and found four of the same black shirt. Major wardrobe fail. I also don’t like spending a lot of money on pieces that are only going to be wearable for one or two seasons, so keeping up with trends is tricky.

The 86th Annual Academy Awards ceremony marked the end of Red Carpet Season 2014 and the evening did not disappoint. There were so many shining style stars on the carpet it was difficult to find a false note among them. I loved the diversity of color and texture with lots of jewel tones, shimmery metallics and lovely pastels. So let’s get right to my picks for best dresses!

It’s finally here! The SJP Collection by Sarah Jessica Parker makes its debut exclusively at Nordstrom today. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the launch of Sarah Jessica’s shoes, handbags and trench coats and I wanted to share a few of my favorite pieces.

The hawk is definitely out in most of the country and those of us who strive to stay stylish while also staying warm are often forced to choose between fashion and frostbite. Not so any longer! Enter the latest crop of touchscreen gloves that seamlessly marry style and function. I’ve been a hold-out on purchasing touchscreen gloves in the past because most of them were bona fide ug-a-ly.

As I sit tapping on my keyboard, it is a balmy 7 degrees in New York. Seven. Degrees. And snowing. Now, I’m no complainer. I’m a summer baby and all that but I do live in the northeast and we do get winter here and as we’re in the middle of January, one expects it to be a little nippy. But this is way out of hand!
