    That’s a Wrap: Looking Back on 2013
I am suddenly overcome with the urge to rock out to Another One Bites Dust. 2013 was one hell of a challenging year, to say the absolute least. And on this final day, I can’t help but feel like I’ve been through the wringer several times over. I am glad to say that I’ve made it through to the other side but I’m tired y’all. Really tired.

I’ve let go of many things this year: my apartment in Harlem and the joy and convenience of living in Manhattan, my affiliation with a sketch comedy show I spent four years helping to build, a friend or two and little bits of my sanity. On the flip side, I’ve had some amazing and wonderful experiences too, not the least of which are some amazing new friends and deepening relationships with old ones, new career options, new partnerships and finally, new perspectives on some old, nagging traumas and dramas. You have to let go of the old to make way for the new and I’m really ready for the new! So all in all, it is a difficult but wonderful life.

Today, I found this quote on Facebook and I’ll admit, it gave me quite a bit of comfort.

This little corner of the web has served as a place for me to explore different sides of my creativity and to share some of the things that I love and that I’ve figured out about myself. Thank you for granting me your time and attention and for offering your support and participation. Here’s a look back at some of the stuff that you loved this year…
