NYC Weekend Wrapup

I have to say that this was the quintessential NY weekend. The weather was great, there was so much to do and my besties Abiola and Kristal were along for the ride! 
First stop was the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party in and around Madison Square Park. Pitmasters from all over the country were serving up the best BBQ you’ve ever tasted and people were lined up for blocks to get a taste of the goodies.

NYC Stroll

In my effort to live a more balanced life, I’m spending more time traveling on foot so I can take in more of the city. I picked up some flowers and did some strolling on the Upper West Side, ending up at the reservoir in Central Park. I haven’t been there in so long and when I saw the water on the horizon, it made my whole week.

Makeovers and a World Record

My first Guinness World Record!! OK, well it’s not mine per se, but I did participate in the Good Morning America Makeover Marathon this week! Sponsored by ULTA Beauty and Lucky Magazine, the 24-hour marathon drew over 350 women to the GMA studios in Times Square for makeovers, music and a little bit of beauty swag!
I was Makeover #322. The ULTA team was fantastic and to my surprise, everyone was in great spirits.
