It’s #HintingSeason for sure and I am hinting really hard about the Canon EOS T5i from Best Buy! I’ve had my current camera, the EOS T3, for a couple of years now and I’m swiftly outgrowing it so I’ve been eyeing the Canon T5i lately. Can you say upgrade?! The T5i is a best-seller in the intermediate DSLR category and here are a few reasons why.

Let’s start with the 18-135mm zoom lens that comes with the T5i. One of the main reasons I feel like I’m outgrowing my camera is the lens that came with it. The zoom on the T3 is only 18-55mm which is okay but it doesn’t have the range I’m looking for. I also would rather have a zoom lens than a bunch of different prime lenses (a prime lens has a fixed focal length) so the 18-135mm is looking pretty good.

The ISO refers to a camera’s light sensitivity. The higher the number, the more sensitive. My T3 has a maximum ISO of 6400 which means the T5i doubles that out of the box. On top of that, the T5i’s ISO is expandable to 25,600 which makes shooting in low-light environments much easier.

That's a sweet camera. I've been using my phone's camera for my posts. It's okay. It's got a 16mp camera, but it doesn't have everything I need.
I use my phone camera too. Particularly if I'm in a hurry and I don't need as much flexibility but I love breaking out my Canon to get really good images and express some creativity.
