The 2015/2016 awards season kicked off last night with the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards and of course, I’m sharing my picks for best dressed on the Emmys Red Carpet. Overall, it was a fairly sedate red carpet with no really big wow moments of glory or disaster. Save a few, looking at you Heidi.
There was a lot of white, some metallics and many pops of vibrant color. I think pink won the evening with no fewer than five actresses choosing it. Yellow was the next most popular but so many things went wrong in the yellow category that I’ll have to leave that one alone. Honorable mention in the fields of yellow does go to VEEP’s Sufe Bradshaw who donned a lovely column gown in a muted mustard.[Tweet “The women who rocked the 2015 Emmys Red Carpet.”]
Best Dressed on the 2015 Emmys Red Carpet
My favorites include:
Kerry Washington in Prada: playful and sassy.
Regina King in Krikor Jabotian: the open back was amazing.
Viola Davis in Carmen Marc Valvo: delicate and daring contrast.
Elisabeth Moss in Oscar de la Renta: sweet and simple.
Samira Wiley in a beautiful fuchsia one-shoulder gown.
